1. Free service

ParkBean (「泊邊豆」) is completely free to use. We do not charge fees, subscriptions, or in-app payments for access to the Service.

2. Voluntary donations

ParkBean may include an optional donation feature (including links to third-party platforms such as Buy Me a Coffee) so you can voluntarily support the project. Donations are gifts only. They are not payment for access to the Service, which remains completely free. A donation does not create any contract, entitlement, membership, premium features, or legal obligation on our part, and does not give you any additional rights, services, or influence over ParkBean. Donations are processed by third-party payment platforms under their own terms. We do not operate those platforms and accept no responsibility or liability for donation processing, failed payments, refunds, fees, taxes, chargebacks, platform outages, or any dispute between you and a payment provider. Donations are non-refundable unless required by applicable law or the payment platform’s policies.

3. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using ParkBean (the “Service”), operated by Obsidian Arch Limited (“we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

4. The Service

ParkBean helps users discover car parks in Hong Kong using third-party map services, government open data, operator websites, and community reports. We are an information service only. We do not operate, manage, or control any car park, and we do not guarantee space availability, opening hours, addresses, facilities, or any other listing details. All information is for general reference only.

5. Parking fees and pricing information

Parking fees and rates shown on ParkBean are compiled from third-party and public sources, operator materials, and user reports. They may be incomplete, estimated, out of date, or incorrect. Displayed prices are indicative only. They do not constitute an offer, quotation, or contract between you and any car park operator, or between you and us. The amount you are actually charged may differ—for example because of time of day, vehicle type, promotions, height or length limits, grace periods, public holidays, or operator policy changes without notice. You are solely responsible for confirming current fees, payment methods, and terms with the operator or on-site signage before parking. ParkBean is not a party to any parking transaction and does not collect parking payments. We are not responsible for any price mismatch between what ParkBean shows and what you are charged.

6. Personal use and data restrictions

The Service and all content, data, maps, and listings are provided for your personal, non-commercial use only. You must not copy, scrape, harvest, resell, redistribute, publish, or use any ParkBean data or content for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

7. Acceptable use

You must not reverse engineer, overload, interfere with, or misuse the Service or underlying data sources. Automated bulk access is prohibited unless we expressly authorise it.

8. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including as to the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any information on the Service, including parking fees, vacancy data, locations, and opening hours.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Obsidian Arch Limited and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be responsible or liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage, or for any claim, demand, penalty, fine, towing, dispute, injury, death, or other legal consequence of any kind arising from or related to your use of ParkBean, your reliance on any information shown, or any voluntary donation—including without limitation incorrect or outdated parking fees, overcharges or undercharges, denied entry, unavailable spaces, parking violations, contractual disputes with operators, business interruption, or donation processing by third-party platforms. This applies whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to HK$100. You use parking facilities and make parking decisions entirely at your own risk.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“HKSAR”) of the People’s Republic of China. You agree that the courts of the HKSAR have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of ParkBean, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your place of residence require otherwise.

11. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. The “last updated” date shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
